Ankita Roy | Assistant Professor in the Department of Design at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH). With more than a decade of experience in the industry, Ankita has gained varied experience in the areas of UX-UI Design, Data Visualization, Print & Web Design, Branding, Exhibition & Displays, Signage & Store Design, Environmental Graphics, Illustration, and Architectural reconstruction. Ankita specialises in the field of Communication Design, with a wide experience working in the Publishing, Printing & Design industries. She teaches Visual Communication & User Experience Design at the Department of Design, IITH.

Ankita, an alumni of IIT Bombay and NID Ahmedabad, is currently pursuing her doctoral research at Kyushu University in Japan. Past association as a teaching assistant and research assistant at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She has co-authored “Brahmi: Rediscovering the Lost Script (2016),” now cataloged at major libraries in India and around the world. Her book, “The Magic of Mandu (2019),” has won the National Award – Excellence in Publishing in English from the Ministry of Tourism, Incredible India, Govt. of India. She is passionate about documenting the invaluable heritage of India and abroad. She also loves to work in the social sector, healthcare, and wildlife conservation projects.
